What is R= eiki?

Re= iki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life Force Energy.” It is an ancie= nt natural healing system that was re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in <= st1:country-region>Japan= in the 19th century. This energy is known in many cultu= res, called ki in = Japan, ch’i in China= , prana in India= , mana by Polynesian Hunas, etc.

How does = Reiki work?

Th= is unlimited vital energy from the universal energy field is channeled into the human energy field, effecting change in the chemical structure of the body. Ki or ch’i animat= es the physical organs and tissues, creating good health. All negative or disharmonious thou= ghts or feelings will cause a disruption in the flow of ki or ch’i, which eventually creates illness. R= eiki will either give or take away the proper amount of energy to balance the bo= dy, mind and emotions.

How can I benefit from Reiki?

Re= iki energy has 5 main effects – deep relaxation, dissolves energy blockag= es, detoxifies, supplies healing energy, and increases the vibrational frequenc= y of the body. It increases your e= nergy and vitality, strengthens the immune system, relieves pain, helps injuries, treats and aids in the recovery of ailments and chronic diseases. It relieves stress and emotional d= isorders, promoting peace and calmness. Reiki also increases mental clarity and creativity, awakening intuition and consc= ious awareness. It helps one make positive life changes.

What happ= ens during a Reiki Treatment?

The Reiki practitioner places his/her hands on or above the healee, who draws in the right amount of healing energy required. It is the healee who manifests har= mony, balance and healing. (The hea= lee is really the healer, the practitioner is just a ch= annel for the energy.) Reiki is nev= er sent or forced into the body. Healees commonly experience tingling, heat, coldness, or pulsation; feeling comfortable and relaxed. Reiki is not a form of massage, and is conducted with clothes on. A standard treatment takes around = one hour.

Is it bas= ed on any religious beliefs? <= /o:p>

No, Reiki is non-denominational, holding no creed or doctrine. It complements all religions and philosophies, serving only to heal.

Do I need= faith in Reiki to make it work?

No, Reiki energy still flows if it is needed and is accepted by the subconscious. The Reiki pract= itioner or the healee do not need to have special belief= s.

Can anyone learn Reiki?

Ye= s, the ability to channel Reiki energy is available to everyone. It is amazingly easy to ‘learn’ as it is not ‘taught’ but transferred by the Reiki Master during the attunement process. This ability to channel Reiki ener= gy cannot be learnt by reading a book.

What is cove= red in Reiki Level 1?

Th= ere are four Reiki attunements, which allow you to channel Reiki energy and practice hands-on healing. This is immediate, and lasts a life time. The hand positions for a Reiki treatment are taught, as well as the human energy system i.e. the aura and the chakras.

What about Reiki Level 2?

The three Reiki symbols are taught,= which enhances the healing energies, and can be used to send healing energy long distance. This course cov= ers how to set up a crystal grid to= send continuous healing energy, as well as information regarding crystals.<= /o:p>

And in Advanced Reiki Training?=
